On painting and coating lines, parts are marked before spray-paint, powder-coat or e-coat and then baked. Conventional labels lift or curl in the oven, paint bleeds under the edge, and paint mist covers the barcode so it can no longer be scanned. Removing the label afterward leaves adhesive residue that must be cleaned off by hand — and can mar the finish. A single failed process label breaks MES traceability and causes material mix-ups.
ETIA's Paint Patch (Butterfly) Label is purpose-built for spray-coating lines: a 2 mil white gloss PET facestock plus a removable protective film. It takes variable barcode printing and has been applied on construction-machinery castings, die-cast aluminum and sheet-metal parts to protect marking between processes — whether spray-paint, powder-coat or e-coat baking.
Withstands 80–150℃ paint and powder-coat baking; the protective film keeps the barcode and characters intact, so parts stay scannable end to end — no 'marking dies after baking'.
A stable, powerful adhesive bonds firmly to high- and low-surface-energy plastics and metal — castings, die-cast aluminum and sheet-metal parts.
A built-in adhesive-free pull tab lets operators hand-peel with no tools after the process, leaving no residue and without damaging the barcode or the painted finish.
Excellent abrasion, high-temperature and high-humidity resistance across a −40℃ to 150℃ range; RoHS compliant.
