A VIN is the unique identity code of a vehicle and must remain readable throughout manufacturing, registration, insurance inspection, maintenance, ownership transfer, and accident verification.
Conventional printed labels may fade, wear, or become damaged after long-term exposure to sunlight, temperature changes, moisture, cleaning agents, and abrasion. VIN labels must therefore provide durable adhesion, stable readability, and resistance to removal or unauthorized replacement across different vehicle locations.
The 2512BL is designed for laser marking of VIN characters, barcodes, and QR codes. Because the information is created by laser rather than ink printing, the mark is less likely to fade, smear, or wear away.
The material supports variable data marking for one-vehicle-one-code identification and can be integrated with production databases, scanning systems, and vehicle records. When combined with a tamper-resistant label construction, attempted removal can visibly damage the label or marking, helping reduce the risk of transfer and VIN manipulation.
