E-8712 is a 2 mil white antistatic polyimide thermal-transfer label stock for functional labelling of highly specified electronic goods. The material minimizes the charge generated when the label is removed from the liner and prevents a significant charge from building on the label surface after application to a component or board — suited to static-sensitive assemblies and ESD-safe packaging. The polyimide facestock is dimensionally stable at high temperature and chemically resistant, and prints resist smearing when the board and label are removed directly from a reflow or wave-solder environment.
