E-8731 — 1 mil White Antistatic Polyimide PCB Label (ESD, −40 to 300 °C)

Overview

E-8731 is a 1 mil (0.04 mm) white antistatic polyimide thermal-transfer label stock for functional labelling of highly specified electronic goods. With appropriate thermal-transfer ribbons it delivers high-quality, high-resolution print for topside printed-circuit-board manufacture and traceability. The polyimide construction is dimensionally stable at high temperature and chemically resistant, and prints resist smearing when the board and label are removed directly from a reflow or wave-solder environment. The material minimizes the charge generated when the label is removed from the liner and prevents a significant charge from building on the label surface after application — suited to static-sensitive assemblies and ESD-protected areas.

• Apply to a clean, dry, contamination-free surface (isopropyl alcohol recommended) and use firm pressure. Preheating the labelled product can enhance print permanence under extreme solvent/abrasion exposure. Values are typical, not specifications — verify by application testing.
